Adventure Awaits is an organization that strives to have the best reputation for quality service to our travelers.
We depend on volunteer guides to make these travel experiences the best for our travelers. Our tour guides are here to support and assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on group vacation tours.

Become a Tour Guide
Adventure Await is looking for volunteers and chaperones to support and assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) on group vacation tours. Experience with people with IDD is preferred, but not required.
​
Some of the fun places that we travel to are Disneyland, Cruises, Dude Ranches, Universal Studios, Las Vegas, Baseball Spring Training in Phoenix, Hawaii and many more exciting places. Tours range from four to 10 days.
​
Requirements:
Include having a respect for people with disabilities, a love for travel, a professional appearance and pleasant disposition, good communication skills, accurate attention to detail, good health with the ability to lift 50 pounds, strong stamina, and the ability to volunteer for long days and still have a top-notch attitude.
​
Further requirements include:
CPR/first aid certification, a clean driving/DMV record, and criminal (police fingerprint) clearance, reference and background checks.

Our goal is to provide our travelers with the best vacation experience. This is accomplished by having volunteers and chaperones who care about our travelers, who care about having fun and who care about interacting positively and respectfully with our travelers and other chaperones.
